Deep rest, nervous system support, and grounded care
Guided Grounding was created by Dr. Sharon G.E. Washington as a space to slow down, settle the body, and reconnect—through sound and somatic practice.
Our Story
Guided Grounding reflects the integration of indigenous wisdom, somatic science, and practical, accessible care— with an emphasis on safety, dignity, and real-life usefulness.
Guided Grounding was created by Dr. Sharon G.E. Washington as a space for deep rest, nervous system regulation, and embodied healing through sound and somatic practice.
Sharon’s relationship with sound healing began in 2012, following graduate school, during a three-week immersion in the Amazon jungle in Peru. There, she learned directly within an indigenous healing context and experienced the role of sound, vibration, and ritual in restoration, clarity, and integration. She returned with instruments that became part of her personal grounding practice—one that has continued to evolve for more than a decade.
Alongside this personal path, Sharon has spent years working professionally in organizational equity consulting, leadership development, and medical education. Across these spaces, her work has remained trauma-informed, body-aware, and oriented toward care—not just performance or productivity.
At its core, Guided Grounding is about creating space to slow down, settle the body, and reconnect—with yourself, with others, and with what matters. Sessions are designed to be supportive, non-performative, and accessible, welcoming people exactly as they are.
